Laval is an island and a city at once: Île Jésus, between the Rivière des Prairies to the south and the Rivière des Mille Îles to the north. Quebec's third-largest city by population, it was born in 1965 from the merger of fourteen municipalities, whose names stayed on as neighbourhoods: Chomedey, Vimont, Sainte-Rose, Duvernay, Saint-François and the rest.
"One island, one city," the 1964 study commission concluded. For us, that works out to one island, one phone number.
We cover all of Laval, from Laval-sur-le-Lac to Saint-François.
Bungalow, duplex or business, we replace electric hot water tanks there with a 40 gallon or a 60 gallon. If the tank still has good years in it, we repair it.
Seven road bridges connect Laval to Montreal across the Rivière des Prairies, and seven more connect it to the North Shore across the Rivière des Mille Îles. When one bridge is jammed, we take another: that's the upside of an island with this many front doors.
Once on the island, Autoroute 440 crosses Laval from west to east, from the A-13 to the A-25. To go farther north, see the North Shore page.

A leaking tank in Chomedey or Duvernay is the same emergency as anywhere else: switch off the tank's breaker, close the cold water valve, then dial the Laval number. The detailed steps are on the emergency page.
Yes. These are former municipalities of Île Jésus that became Laval neighbourhoods in the 1965 merger. For us it's Laval, and it's the Laval number.
Not in our book. Laval is an area of its own, with its own number. The North Shore starts on the other side of the Rivière des Mille Îles.
